Translating and Interpreting Service  (TIS) can provide an Interpreter –  Call 13 14 50

The Australian Government provides Free Interpreting Service to anyone in Australia who is eligible for Medicare.

Your Medical Practitioner, Chemist, Non Govt Agencies, Real Estate Agent, Local Govt, Trade Unions & your MP can access Free Interpreting Service.

 

Multicultural Communities Council of WA have a special  Website page for the COVID-19 Response which provides Emergency relief,  information and a number of links for people experiencing Crisis during the current Corona Virus situation.

 

Lifeline – Call 13 11 14 

If you are contemplating suicide, experiencing emotional distress or caring for someone in crisis to call or text Lifeline.

Regardless of your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion Lifeline have trained Crisis support staff who are ready to listen, support and help you deal with your immediate crisis.

This is a National Sexual Assault, Domestic Family Violence Counselling Service.    Home is not necessarily the safest place for some people and during times of increased stress and self isolation such as COVID-19 research has found that there is often an increase in violence against women.

This is a service for people who feel they need urgent assistance, families or carers of those with a mental illness and general public who witness a mental health crisis & need assistance plus health professionals & community welfare service providers.

This is a telephone and online counselling service for men with emotional health & relationship concerns.

 

Domestic Violence Helpline – Call 1800 007 339 

The Domestic Violence Helpline is a West Australian state wide 24 hour service.    It provides support, information and referral to people experiencing family and domestic violence and also for people who are concerned about their own violent & abusive behaviours.

Is a telephone & counselling service for people in crisis needing urgent help.

 

Sexual Assault Resource Centre – Call 1800 199 888 or (08) 6458 1828 

SARC provide free services to people affected by sexual assault.  This includes a recent sexual assault, past assault and current sexual abuse and past sexual abuse.   Qualified and experienced doctors & counsellors provide care, support and professional services at the centre.
